Write about anything: Music #7}
Sunday, 29 September 2013 | 03:31 | 0Comment
I can't live without music. I listen to music everyday in my life. Music makes me feel happy, sad and more. Depends on which genre you are listening to. I mostly hear Korean and Japanese songs. I do hear rock songs too! I only hear certain English songs. I rarely hear Malay songs as I don't really like them eventhough I'm a Malay myself.

I love art so much that I don't mind doing it everyday in my life! That's why I went to NAFA after being rejected in polytechnic. During my secondary school days, I hate maths and science the most. I only enjoyed and was looking forward to art only. After graduating from my secondary school, I went to ITE and took Digital Animation course. I learnt how to draw human figure and animate them like those mickey mouse cartoons.

This is my family photo. This was taken before my big brother went overseas to study in University. I'm the second daughter and the first girl in my family. And yes my sister is taller and more clever than me. I always envy her. Anyway, my big brother have been staying at Canberra, Australia for 6 months now. My parents said that my brother will be the one making the PR there after he graduate. They said we gonna migrate and stay at Australia in the future. I feel excited for it but I will be missing a lots of things in Singapore like my relatives, cousins, friends and more.
Write about anything: Happy birthday! #4}
| 02:41 | 0Comment Happy birthday Mum! Last Tuesday was my mum's birthday. After I came back from school, we made a surprise for my mum. My sister made a card and I bought brooches for her as she wear scarf. My dad gave her two flowers and a cake for my mum. That was the first time he bought flowers for her for how many years of their marriage. That was really sweet and made my mum really surprised and happy that day. My mum is fifty two years old now. She's getting older so am I too. I used to talk back to her when I was unhappy and made my mum sad. As I get older, I'm getting mature and I usually just listen to her and keep quiet. Rather then talking back to her and make her angry. Lastly, I love my mum! (142) Write about anything: Stress #3}

Since I started schooling in NAFA after I went to ITE, I'm really going stress everyday. I slept very late just to complete my assignments since they are many of them to do. But I won't give up just because I'm going through stress. No pain no gain! I will do my best till I gradute from NAFA. And make my parents proud of me and myself.

We had to make a base for the egg. By using straws and tape only and we can't do anything do the egg. The egg have to be plain like "naked". I made this together with Vainy and Glen. We had to draw some ideas and discussed which one was more suitable. So we picked this.

| 00:48 | 0Comment
Amy Beach is an american pianist and composer. It turns out that Amy had both perfect pitch and a set of colours for musical keys. One story said that Amy's association of certain colours with certain keys. For example, she asked her mother to play the purple music or the green music. Her mother encouraged her to relate melodies to the colours blue, pink or purple. She associated the colours with those keys like C was white, F sharp was black, E was yellow, G was red, A was green, A flat was blue and D flat was violet or purple.
Synesthesia: Solomon Shereshevskii #6}
| 00:03 | 0Comment Solomon Shereshevskii is Russian journalist and mnemonist, multiple synesthesia. Sherevskii's fivefold synesthesia on how he used his synesthesia to perform feats or memory including memorizing complex mathematical formula. Huge matrices and even peoms in foreign languages. He was burdened by his inability to forget even the the most trivial details. This is so cool as you won't forget anything! As I tend to forget things and if i were him, I will be able memorize stuffs for my exams well. But if I had a bad memories, I won't be able to forget them...and that's sad as you will remember it for life.Synesthesia: Olivier Messiaen #5}
Saturday, 28 September 2013 | 23:55 | 0Comment Olivier Messiaen is a French composer and organist. He was self-admittedly a synesthete and quite well detailed in his own writings and in interviews. Many of his compositions are directly based upon in a sense trying to "produce pictures" by sounds. Writing specific notes to produce specific colours and blends. Synesthesia: Marian McPartland #4}
| 23:48 | 0Comment Marian McPartland is a jazz pianist, composer, radio personality that associates keys with colours. She said that nobody ever told her it was difficult to play in certain keys like the F sharp. She find C a hard key because it's very sterile to her. The keys seems to have colours and textures. She love B, E, A, and F sharp. She actually connect them with colours. The key is D for daffofil yellow, B major is maroon and B flat is blue. This is really interesting because she labelled the keys in colours! Synesthesia: David Hockney #3}
| 23:36 | 0Comment David Hockney is an English painter, draughtsman, printmaker, stage designer and photographer. Hockney sees synesthetic colours to musical stimuli. But it didn't show in his painting or photography artwork too much. It is common principle in his construction of stage sets for different types or ballets or operas. He based the background colours and lighting upon his own seen colours while listening to the music of the theater piece that his is working on. I envy those people who have synesthesia because they can see colours in music. Synesthesia: Ida Maria #2}
| 23:14 | 0Comment
Ida Maria is a Norwegian rock musician and songwriter known by the stage name. She was reported to have the neurological phenomenon of synesthesia which for her case. She imagine colours when she hears music. When she started to play guitar, she made this colour sheet for all the cords. She didn't know what they were called but she knew exactly what colours and shades they were. I find Ida Maria interesting as she made songs with colour palettes which was really cool!
(82) Synesthesia: Kadinsky #1}
Monday, 16 September 2013 | 02:01 | 0Comment Kadinsky had synesthesia which is harmless condition that allow a person to be recognize about music, colour or words with senses. As for Kadinsky, colours and painted marks cause certain sounds or musical notes. The ability to hear colour, see music or taste words are the results from accidental cross wiring in the brain. Kadinsky used his talent to product art. He also heard a strange noise when he was mixing colours on his paintbox when he was a child. He became highly skilled of being a cello player which represented one of the deepest blues of all the instruments. I find it cool to be able to color, hearing, touch and smell. | 01:58 | 0Comment This is a portable make up powder which you can bring it everywhere u go! When you are applying the powder on your face, you can just look straight from the mirror instead of going to the toilet when your outside. This is good because there's a mirror together with the powder. (52) Forced Connection: #3}
| 01:57 | 0Comment This is interesting! Actually, this is a lip balm just that the designer add in colour. Usually, lip balm will appear transparent when your applying on your lips. When you apply this lip balm, you will have a pinkish red lips depending on the colour you choose. It's like a combination of lipstick and lip balm together. (57) My Journey #2}

I bought this portable charger at Challenger last month. It is really useful! Whenever my phone is out of battery, I can use it to charge my phone. And the charger it's not that big, it fits inside your bag. Other than that, you can even use this for your torch light! Instead of bringing your torch light itself, you bring this everywhere u want to go! For example, you are scared walking alone at night and you can switch on the portable charger for the torch light. It's very interesting for me!

This is a mp4 player that I bought four years ago. Instead of just hearing the music through earpiece only, you hear your music loudly through the speakers at the back. It's very useful. I used them when I was doing my homework or house chores since I don't want to use earpiece when doing them.

You can make a phone call when your on the bed or even when your at the kitchen. Well, at the toilet too I guess! (54) Lateral Thinking #5}
| 03:35 | 0Comment What do you think of this? This is rather creative hairstyle but I don't think it's suitable for a daily hair. It looks kinda heavy. Well, it's a violin hairstyle. I guess she wear those fake hair too? I don't think you will be able to make that using your original hair only. I bet it took a lot of hair for that. It looks funny too. (67) Lateral Thinking #4}

This tells me that when you wake up from your sleep, you have to do your work after that. Everything is just side by side. But this is different because it's like many things combined together. There's like a study table and stairs attached to it. Of course with the bed at the side. There's even a storage below. You don't need to buy separate wardrobe and a study table.

| 03:34 | 0Comment This is a chair! It is made up of unused cds. Instead of throwing them, the designer recycled them and made it out of a chair. It can even be a sculpture. It looks hard to sit on it though! (40) Lateral Thinking #2}

This is a chair and a table. You can either sit on it while reading newspaper or drinking. You can place your cup at the side too. Another way is that you can close it and become a table, but u will need to sit on the floor instead!

You can even watch your tv while relaxing on it. There's a place for you to put your reading material and the tv remote control at the side.

Mindmapping: Mrt map in Singapore #3}
Monday, 19 August 2013 | 01:10 | 0Comment Look at this system map of trains. This involves classification too! They divided the stations into 4 parts. They labelled with colours for different trains. Like red, green, purple and yellow. They will be making more train station like the one shown above in brown. For example, the red represent for North South line, green for East West line, purple for North East line and yellow for circle. By looking at the colours, we can memorize them easily for our destinations. (80) Mindmapping: Universal Studio Singapore #2}

In this mindmapping, I went to Universal Studio Singapore with my family during the holidays. USS have certain classifications too. For example, they divided the places into 7 parts of different theme. Like The Lost World, Far Far Away, Madagascar, Hollywood, New York, Sci-Fi City and Ancient Egypt. They divided them according to their theme. I myself enjoyed going USS with my family. Well, yeah you need a map for this too!
